Statistics 101: Confidence Intervals, Population Deviation Unknown - Part 1. In Part 1 of this video, we discuss how to find confidence intervals for the mean when we do not know the population standard deviation. The difference between the z-distribution and t-distribution is explained as well as why we use the t-distribution when sigma is unknown. There are 3 ways to estimate the population standard deviation and that covered as well.
