Statistics 101: Confidence Interval Concepts, Sigma Unknown HD
Statistics 101: Confidence Intervals, Population Deviation Unknown - Part 1. In Part 1 of this video, we discuss how to find confidence intervals for the mean when we do not know the population standard deviation. The difference between the z-distribution and t-distribution is explained as well as why we use the t-distribution when sigma is unknown. There are 3 ways to estimate the population standard deviation and that covered as well. Finally we place the margin of error on an actual distribution curve to actually visualize the confidence intervals. In Part 2, we work two detailed confidence interval problems. Enjoy!
