I HATE Night Tube
London Underground lines have been around 100-150 years, they didn’t pop up yesterday, nobody woke up one morning to find a Tube Station outside their house , but the way Londoners moan about London Underground you would think they had. I think the 24 hour night tube is a long overdue excellent idea it will help many who work shifts and night jobs get home faster. The stations and lines that are going 24 hours are the most central lines and stations in London. These happen to be the oldest lines and stations that have accessibility issues for people with disabilities. This isn’t on purpose. The core infrastructure is 150 years old. If there was a way to make these stations more accessible then TfL would have done it by now as it would also ease overcrowding. These stations may never change, but still charities are still not happy with alternatives. Do not think I am against disability I am not, I am just realistic of the times the Underground was built and the locations and conditions around them now that makes changes difficult to impossible. TfL are nearing the completion of the Elizabeth Line (Liz Line as I am sure most will call it) which is built in the 21st century and if any of that was built without the disabled in mind I would be right on the side of those who would be affected as it not right to discriminated. The stations are going to be staffed and it is part of their job to help passengers who need it. Any member of TfL staff who does not help a disabled passenger is not doing their job. As for the people who moan about the noise I have no sympathy for your situation. You moved near it, you have lived near it and got it a bit cheaper because of it. I had to wear earplugs sometimes in my old place that is just the way it is.
