Purchase DVD: http://www.allegro-music.com/online_catalog.asp?sku_tag=CRM48517 The story of RAF bomber command is the story of the air war over Germany and the men who fought it. In the early days of WWII, the RAF Bomber Command was the only means that Britain had to bring the war into Hitlers Germany. Beginning in 1940, RAF Bomber Command began what were soon to become daily raids against Germanys cities and industrial infrastructure. By 1942, losses had grown so heavy that the RAF Bomber Command had switched to a policy of night bombing only, a policy that it would stick until the end of the war. This DVD features rare archival material drawn from both British and German sources, new footage of surviving RAF Bombers, and computer-generated illustrative maps and 3-D graphics. Military analysis and expert commentary is provided by Dr. Robin Clifton of Warwick University.
