F-16 of US Air Force painted as Sukhoi Su-57 to cure pilots of neurosis HD
The press service of the US Air Force base "Nellis" published a video of the first flight of the American F-16 fighter in "pixel" camouflage, imitating the colors of the Russian fifth-generation fighter Su-57. One of the fourth generation F-16C light fighters of the 64th Aggressors training squadron of the US Air Force was painted similarly to the Su-57 fifth-generation fighter of the Russian Air Force. The move was made to use the airplane as a target in air battles. General Robert Novotny, a commander at the base, said that it was necessary to paint the F-16 to imitate the “digital” camouflage of the Su-57 to overcome the “hunting fever” of US pilots. The general referred to the phenomenon of nervous trembling which may occur when an inexperienced hunter is about to open fire on a new target for the first time. Not everyone can do this in cold blood, which raises the likelihood for a miss. Needless to say that the Americans have no modern Russian fighter aircraft at their disposal, so they try to introduce their pilots to them with the help of the colors identical to warplanes of the Russian Air Force.
