Elsevier Green and Sustainable Chemistry Challenge HD
Recently, Elsevier presented the Green and Sustainable Chemistry Challenge which encourages researchers to find solutions to alleviate the strain on the planet’s resources. At the kick-off event at Leuphana University in Germany, experts from academia, the chemical industry, the German Development Cooperation and Elsevier discussed how chemistry can contribute to meeting challenges in both the developed and developing world, such as a growing demand for better food, more sustainably manufactured and used goods, and better access to utilities such as clean water and electricity. In a short video clip, the experts put forward their most vital theses and expectations towards green and sustainable chemistry as well as the Challenge.
