12.08.2020
Bashing through thick vegetation, navigating through muddy paths and water streams - to explore the mysteries on Keppel Hill. You never thought that you can do this in Singapore! WWII Bunker / Air Raid Shelter It could have been used as a store for equipment and ammunition and or a communication tunnel during World War II. The access to the main area has been sealed off and you can only walk about 10 meters inside the tunnel. An abandoned house at 11 Keppel Hill A19th Century colonial-style mansion. Old Keppel Reservoir It was built during the colonial period of Singapore. It fell into disuse due to its small capacity and was eventually forgotten. It was initially used as a water source for Keppel Dockyards. Then it served as a swimming pool to the colonial housing (11 Keppel Hill?) and Japanese during WWII occupation of Singapore. The entire trek took us less than an hour. There is road access to the reservoir via Keppel Hill Road but we decided to "relive" our jungle adventures memories by bashing through the thick vegetation and accessed the reservoir via climbing up Keppel Hill. ‍♀️ ‍♂️ What is a 360 video? ☘️ This will not be a long boring video of just walking the entire stretch because we only feature the highlights. Sometimes I may pause to show you something interesting. We will throw in some motivational music to accompany your walks. This is a 360 video, you can scroll your mouse or move your phone to view this video from every angle. Hike along with me, or behind me. Look at the trees above, or close to the ground. View impossible angles. You may want to put on a VR headset to complete your experience.
