Basically u lock your character to look straight up by holding right click to free look. The whole time you hold W and right click. At this point any time you go near a wall or floor the game thinks you are about to land and does the boost. If you go too close you will land. Also there is a small cool down on it. Hold W then look up then hold right click now use A and D to go near walls and floor. You can let go of right click and turn if you need to turn alot to avoid walls etc. But you have to look up and then hold right click to relock your character to look up.
