Yellowstone Road Trip (2/3) : Waterfalls, Hiking, & Old Faithful HD

Along the way we passed through Roosevelt where we stopped to see Tower Falls. Since the Dunraven Pass was closed during that time of the year we made a look back around passes Mammoth and Norris Geyser Basin where we passed by Lewis Falls and Undine Falls, a bear, more bison, deer and elk and breathtaking scenery that could never get old. Cutting across the park, we finally reached the picturesque Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone viewing both the Lower and Upper Yellowstone Falls. From there we got some beautiful winter scenery along the Yellowstone Lake en route to catch a shootoff of the Old Faithful Geyser. Next day, we set off bright an early for an intermediate hiking trail called Beaver Ponds Trail near Mammoth. This 5 mile trail brought us through forests, ponds, and open hills viewing the mountains and beyond. We also saw some Elk, a woodpecker, beautiful birds, and a coyote. From there our last stop was a short trail hike through Norris Geyser Basin so see Steamboat geyser as well as numerous hot springs before we headed back to West Yellowstone.
