Feeding a semi-wild coati HD

Kantuta used to be a wild coati, who arrived at La Senda Verde, a bolivian orphanage for wild animals in March 2008. She decided to stay there. She lives freely. We became best friends. With a time I was alowed to feed her. Everyday I gave her a raw egg, some fuits (banana, papaja), sometimes honey etc. Coatis are members of the raccoon family. Unlike the most memebrs of raccoon family, coatis are primarily diurnal. Males over 2 years become solitary due to behavioural disposition and collective aggression from females and will join the female groups only during the breeding season. Coatis communicate their intensions or moodswith chriping, snorting or grunting sounds. Individuals recognize other coatis by their looks, voices and smells, the individual smell is intensified by special musk-glands on their necks and bellies. La Senda Verde is a bolivian Animal Refuge dedicated to improving the lives of rescued Native Bolivian Wildlife, providing them with medical attention, food and housing. Kantuta to dziki ostronos, który w marcu 2008 roku pojawił się w La Senda Verde, boliwijskim ośrodku ratującym dzikie zwierzęta i postanowił tam zostać. W międzyczasie przyzwyczaiła się do ludzi, a z niektórymi nawet zaprzyjaźniła. Osobiście ją uwielbiałam. Jak mnie tylko widziała biegła do mnie. Z czasem właściciele stwierdzili, że trzeba ją zacząć karmić, bo wyjadała jedzonko m.in. żółwiom. Ten bardzo przyjemny obowiązek przypadł mnie Codziennie dawałam jej surowe jajeczko i coś do tego: owoce (banana, papaję, winogronka), miodek, kawałek białego serka. Ostronosy należą do rodziny szopowatych. Są to zwierzątka dzienne.
