Johana, a coffee farmer, embarks on a journey with Alexandra, a reporter in search of a story. In their mission to bring a coffee seedling from Johana’s plantation from Colombia to Costa Rica, they encounter people and places who, like Johana, overcame moments of war to now stand as living proof of the rebirth of an entire region as it transformed from coca to coffee. The documentary, launched on Amazon Prime in select countries, is a project by The Lavazza Group, directed by Oscar Ruíz Navia. The Lavazza Group, through its Lavazza Foundation, together with nonprofit Carcafè, has supported more than 100 local farmers in the Meta region of Colombia, providing them with the resources and education to enrich their coffee plantations and quality of life.
