Parallax Scrolling

12.10.2012
When the browser window has the focus, the horizontal position of the mouse controls the scrolling speed. When the mouse is in the center of the window, the scrolling stops. The scrolling also stops when the mouse exits the browser window, even though the browser retains the focus. So long as the browser window has the focus, the scrolling resumes when the mouse re-enters the browser window. The three layers (clouds, mountains, and trees) have different scrolling speeds. The layers adjust their positions to fit the browser window. This parallax scrolling example uses ( CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery ). Thank you for your interest in parallax scrolling and other front end development topics.
