The Who – Pinball Wizard – 1969 TV Performance [DES STEREO] HD

Here is “The Who” performing “Pinball Wizard” on “This Is Tom Jones” musical variety show [Episode 1.12 – Airdate: Fri Apr 25, 1969]. This performance is simply spectacular! They played every nuance of the song note-for-note, identically as they did in the polished studio version …and they did it LIVE!!! "Pinball Wizard" was written by Pete Townshend, performed by the British rock band: “The Who”, which was featured on their 1969 rock opera album “Tommy”. The original recording was released as a single in 1969 and reached #4 in the UK charts and #19 on the US Billboard Hot 100. “This Is Tom Jones” is an ATV variety series starring Tom Jones. The series was exported to the US by ITC Entertainment and aired on ABC. The series ran for 2 seasons between 1969 and 1971 for a total of 65 color episodes. Tom Jones was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for "Best Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy" in 1969. This is a low-fidelity B&W kinescope of a video playback. Even so, I felt an overwhelming need to restore the audio and do a MONO-to-STEREO conversion of it. Technical Information: I used SPLEETER v2.8 to separate the components [Vocal, Guitars, Drums & Bass] into 4 separate tracks. Adobe Audition was used for Dynamic Range recovery, Delay, Reverb, EQ and final mixdown. NERO 2019 Platinum used to generate the final video.
