Episode 041 - On this week’s show: The 2016 World Fantasy Award winners have been announced. The World Fantasy Awards are a set of awards organized and overseen by the World Fantasy Convention. Monty Python and fantasy film director Terry Gilliam is developing a Time Bandits TV series. Speaking on the Guardian’s webchat, Gilliam says that he is working on two projects: one, a TV series based on Time Bandits, another based on a script by Richard LaGravanese that he wrote after the Fisher King film, called The Defective Detective.” Middle Earth is a JRR Tolkien biopic coming from Lord of the Rings producers Robert Shaye and Michael Lynne. Broadchurch and Downton Abbey director James Strong is set to direct with the script written by Angus Fletcher. He says Middle Earth is about “Tolkien’s early life and love affair with Edith Bratt, whom he later married. As yet no release date has been announced. Netflix release their teaser trailer on YouTube for Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. In Netflix’s new eight-part series, Neil Patrick Harris stars as the evil aristocrat Count Olaf, and sets about making the lives of three orphaned children as miserable as he can. All 8 episodes will be available on Netflix on Friday the 13th of January next year. Discworld Emporium have a brand new revamped and redesigned website.
