They’ll be continuing the launch week celebrations tomorrow, October 20, with a second full Weezer concert at the iHeartRadio Theater Los Angeles, featuring music from their new album. You’ll also be able to stream the concert through iHeartMedia’s radio station websites. As Activision adds: Performances from this concert are being filmed for the purpose of including them as a playable music set in GHTV, the game’s playable music video network. This Weezer concert is just the beginning of live performances they plan to add to GHTV, with Activision saying, “iHeartMedia and Activision intend to continue their collaboration into 2016 to bring unique playable experiences into GHTV.” Talking about the partnership, Paul Springer, SVP of Product Management on Guitar Hero at Activision Publishing, said: Guitar Hero Live marks the return of the global pop culture phenomenon and we are bringing music to gamers in a brand new way, including GHTV, our playable music video network. We’ve been working with the incredible team at iHeart to develop new types of music content for GHTV and create a deeper connection between artists and a whole new audience of interactive music fans. If you’re unclear what GHTV is, Guitar Hero Live gives you two ways to play: GH Live and GHTV. GH Live presents a first-person view where you choose from a list of on-disc songs and play in front of a live crowd. GHTV, meanwhile, is a fully playable music video network: It lets fans play along to a continually-updated collection of official videos, from the newest releases to favorite hits. GHTV also lets players compete with their friends as well as players from across the globe to battle for the highest score on any given song.
