A video essay created and produced by five students of AJK MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia on the selfie phenomenon and its evolution through the digital age and the social media revolution. The concept of the self is ever evolving. In the present context, it is necessary to analyse the self and its interaction not only with the social but also with the digital world. In this video, we have covered as much as we could on the selfie, and primarily focused on the psychological aspect of it, using pop culture references as well as vox pop and real-life instances.
