Print Can Be by Prinovis UK HD

19.08.2015
‘Print Can Be’ is a new short film produced by Prinovis UK which features its Liverpool print plant and promotes the continued effectiveness of print in a multichannel world. Reflecting on the city’s industrial heritage, the film takes its inspiration from Night Mail, the acclaimed 1936 documentary produced by the GPO film unit about the London to Scotland mail train which featured a poem by W H Auden one of the greatest English born poets of the twentieth century, with the rhythm of the poem imitating the motion of the train ‘Print Can Be’ reproduces this affect as it shows print products being manufactured across its fifty acre print plant, with its printing presses at the heart of the action. The film was produced by local media agency Liquid, and features a narration based on the W H Auden poem penned by Prinovis UK Managing Director Richard Gray. The film is narrated by Ben Davis, Head of Marketing and Communications at the Reader Organisation. The Reader Organisation is Prinovis UK’s charity of choice for 2015, based in the same community as the Liverpool print plant and promotes shared reading as a practical way to develop good mental health, increased wellbeing and social inclusion.
