This land Is YOUR land and this land Is MY land

We who live in Southeast Alaska are saying, "This land Is your land and this land Is my land." Listen to our protest song to hear how the Tongass forest is being threatened. Nine communities on Prince of Wales Island have been fighting against a corporation, foundations, and politicians who want to take public lands and give them to Sealaska, a private corporation. We adapted an old Woody Guthrie protest song to explain what is happening. Say NO to senate bill s-340! This bill, currently in Congress, would give title to 70,000 acres of public land in the Tongass, outside the areas agreed to in ANCSA, to Sealaska Corporation. Click here to listen to public commentary by 2 of the affected communities, Port Protection and Point Baker. http://www.kfsk.org/2013/03/12/commentary-submitted-by-communities-of-point-baker-and-port-protection/ It you care about this issue, voice your opposition, by contacting the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy & Natureal Resources. http://www.energy.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/contact For in-depth information on these issues visit the Greater Southeast Alaska Conservation Community http://gsacc.net/
