Excerpts of recordings of reception of Россия-1 (on VHF channel R1) in the Netherlands during a Sporadic-E opening on VHF Band I on 03 July 2013. The audio carrier of this VHF TV channel, 56.25MHz, falls within the old (pre-war) American 5-metre ham band. It was on that band that VHF SpE was first reported and exploited by radio amateurs.
