Man Align: This is brand new and different from base align. Man Align allows you get a defender over every man when you call a MAN BLITZ ONLY. This is great for when you call a blitz and safetys and linebackers are too far away from their man. 4. Disguised Cushion: This allows you to call press coverage to get DBs close to their man but not have them actually jam or press their guy at the line. This is good for when someone like Calvin Johnson is beating your CB at the line on streaks. 3. Individual Coverage: There are 3 options in this coverage - Press, Backoff and Shading. Press and backoff is great to disguise zone coverages. You can press your CBs up in Cover 3 and 4 and back them off in Cover 2. Shading will actually place any blitzers or zone defenders on top of the WR in man coverage and will shade them in the direction you chose (EX: stop out routes). 2. Option Defense: This is brand new as well and gives you the options to play QBs and Running backs in the option. Press L2 to bring up the key menu and you will see choices to play the QB in the option or the RB. You always wanna play the QB so that he hands it off or if he doesnt he gets hit right away. 1. Run Commit Middle Glitch? Run commit has been in since Madden 13 but when you run commit middle all LBs in your formation will go into a blitz. I do not know if EA did this on purpose because I heard guys were using this to make A Gap blitzes or if you truly need all your LBs to stop a middle run. BONUS TIP: Pass Commit on Blitz! When you setup a blitz you want to get in remember to Pass Commit. This is because if it is Play Action, your blitzers will chase the running back! To get them to attack the QB you have to pass commit.
