New Moon Profiles: The Volturi Guard The Twilight Saga is about to introduce us to a new gang. Im Dana Ward at Clevver TV with the Volturi Guard profiles. So, to bring everyone up to speed, the Volturi is the largest and most powerful coven of vampires. Its a very exclusive group living in Volterra, Italy which takes it to the extremes to enforce the laws of the vampire world ultimately, to keep the secret of vampires away from humans. The group is quite artistic and cultured, being sure to study the arts at night due to their inability to sleep. The only vampires to be invited into the guard are the ones who have such great special abilities that the Volturi leaders want them, in order to maintain authority over other covens. Basically, the guard listens to the Volturi leaders and does everything those in-charge say. Up first, Jane is a dark, sadistic girl who is a valued pet of one of the leaders. Shes characteristically bitter and gets angered when her powers fail. Her special ability includes inflicting the presence of pain on another being not actually hurting their physical nature but tricking them into thinking they are in extreme pain. The teenaged Jane is described as being slim, almost androgenous, with short brown hair and an angelic face. Her twin, Alec, is a highly ranked guard in the coven. Similarly, he has an extreme power, to cut off the senses of another being. Specifically, Alec puts forth a hazy mist which results in making someone blind, deaf or numb to feelings. Hes identical to Jane with black-red eyes, except with slightly darker hair and thinner lips. Also part of the guard, Demetri. With an olive complexion and dark, should-length hair, this tall vampire is perceived to be quite polite and has the ability of mind-tracking the thoughts of others. The vampire whos known to bait humans and bring them to the Volturi for feeding, is the beautiful Heidi. Shes obviously described as gorgeous and statuesque with thick, shiny hair, long legs and violet eyes. In addition to the normal inhumane strength, speed and beauty, Heidi can also create illusions of someones desires. Looking similar to Heidi but with black-red eyes, Chelsea is the groups vampire who can strengthen or completely unravel a relationship between others. And Felix is a strict and violent vampire who enjoys dishing out punishment on others especially those who disobey the rules of the Volturi. Felix is described as big, tall and thick with short dark hair. Unlike most of the coven, he does not have any special powers. Thats the character breakdown of the Volturi guard.
