IELTS Speaking Section Part 1 Strategies and Techniques Are you worried about IELTS speaking module? Don’t worry, in this video I share lots of IELTS exam tips for Part 1. I hope these tips will be helpful for you. So let’s get started. The Speaking test is the same for both IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training tests. IELTS speaking part 1 usually lasts for 4- 5 minutes. This task is made up of first introduction, so the examiner will introduce him or herself, then you will introduce yourself. In IELTS speaking part 1, do not just say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to a question – add more information. So if the IELTS examiner asks you “are you studying at university at the moment”, say something like “yes, I am, I’m studying psychology at University ABC right now. In fact, I’m in my third year.” Now, the way they mark this part of the IELTS is they are looking specifically for these main four things fluency, Vocabulary, Grammar and Pronunciation.
