Wright B Flyer HD
Discover Wright "B" Flyer Inc., a not-for-profit organization that flies a lookalike of a 1911 Wright Model B airplane at Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport in Ohio, where the Wright brothers lived and invented the airplane. In cooperation with the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park, we also display an accurate replica of a 1910 Wright "B" Flyer on the historic Huffman Prairie Flying Field near Dayton, where Wilbur and Orville tested their airplanes and where many pioneer aviators earned their wings. The airplane featured here, our "Brown Bird," has been flown or displayed across the United States and abroad. It is a one-of-a-kind aircraft designed and built by volunteers to have a standoff resemblance to a Wright aircraft but meet modern airworthiness standards.
