Low key film of one of humanities greatest achievements, powered flight. I love at 4:10 when they show the one of the earliest land-powered cars alongside the plane to show the rapid progress of technology in transportation at the time. The Mitchell/Kenyon films from Britain showed me the importance films playing at a natural speed brings to making them come to life. The earliest films are usually played back at an extremely quick rate making them seem cartoonish and distant. Included some projector sound and old Sousa phonographs from the time for period ambiance.
