Andrew Lloyd Webber: Argentine Melody (Canciòn de Argentina)
Phillip Sear plays the published piano version of a piece of Lloyd Webber ephemera. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Per Wikipedia (extracted September 6, 2016): ""Argentine Melody (Cancion de Argentina)" is an instrumental tune composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber as the theme music for the 1978 FIFA World Cup held in Argentina that same year. Released as a single in the UK in June 1978, this instrumental piece peaked at position #14 on the UK Singles Chart. It was performed by San Jose featuring Rodriguez Argentina (aka Rod Argent), who would also go on to perform the instrumental tune "Aztec Gold" eight years later for the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico." There is an amusing video elsewhere on YouTube of a live contemporary studio performance in which Andrew Lloyd Webber himself participates - a real period piece! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Played by Phillip Sear http://www.psear.co.uk Email: channel@psear.33mail.com http://www.psear.co.uk (Email: piano2@psear.33mail.com ) Upcoming live events: https://events.time.ly/hsr9pfk YouTube community tab: https://is.gd/SV4II9 Played by Phillip Sear http://www.psear.co.uk (Email: piano3@psear.33mail.com ) Upcoming live events: https://events.time.ly/hsr9pfk YouTube community tab: https://is.gd/SV4II9 Played by Phillip Sear http://www.psear.co.uk (Email: piano3@psear.33mail.com ) Upcoming live events: https://events.time.ly/hsr9pfk YouTube community tab: https://is.gd/SV4II9 Played by Phillip Sear http://www.psear.co.uk (Email: piano3@psear.33mail.com ) Upcoming live events: https://events.time.ly/hsr9pfk YouTube community tab: https://is.gd/SV4II9
