A steam train on the Sri Lanka upcountry railway line, which is renowned to be one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the world. The train passes steep slopes and waterfalls, crosses many viaducts, drives through tunnels and traverses tea fields in a picturesque landscape. In February 2020, Farrail, a company specializing in heritage railway adventure travels, organized a Sri Lanka trip to drive on the Main line in the mountains. The two steam locomotives B2B-213 (Vulcan Foundry, 1922) und B1D-340 “Frederick North” (Robert Stephenson, 1945) of Sri Lanka Railways transport the steam train from Colombo via Rambukkana to Demodara and return.
