Join Jessica Boynton, an expert in Australian Aboriginal languages, as she walks us through the treacherous process of political, social and technical decisions needed to help native speakers of an oral language develop a written form they will accept and use. The Winter 2013 Saturday University, on January 26 in Gillette, tackled: The scientific revolution, writing the unwritten language and fracking Pennsylvania shale. The free one-day college education wraps up with a free lunch and conversation as the professors explore links among their topics. Saturday U, Summer Winter Session 2013 was held January 25, 2013 at Gillette College. Saturday U is a collaborative program that connects popular UW professors with lifelong learners in Jackson, Gillette, and Sheridan.
