#storm #london #england On evening, October 23, a powerful storm has reportedly hit South London, England. It comes after a day of torrential rain and thunderstorms in London. Residents took to social media to report flying objects and share video of destroyed property. Earlier on Sunday, the local authorities issued a yellow weather warning and predicted of a chance for sudden flooding as rain poured down on the capital. It was estimated as much as 60mm of rain fell in just half an hour. Subsequently, train services are being cancelled after trees fell on to railways and flooded roads across central and south east England. National Rail has reported disruption caused by heavy flooding on train routes between Stourbridge Junction and Birmingham Snow Hill. South Western Railway is currently suffering major disruption after trees fell on to rail lines across its network. There were also reports on social media of flooded roads in Lincolnshire. The authorities warned that heavy rain for much of the south could lead to flooding, leaving businesses and homes at risk of damage. The yellow weather warning extends into October 24.
