In this video we break down the #Coronavirus and examine if it is big enough to become a Black Swan Event and crash the stock market. A black swan is an extremely rare event with severe consequences. It cannot be predicted beforehand such as natural disasters, terrorist attacks, pandemic disease, etc. Black swan events can cause catastrophic damage to an economy due to it affecting multiple industries simultaneously. So, what is this coronavirus that everyone is talking about? Coronaviruses are a group of viruses that cause diseases in mammals and birds. In humans the virus causes respiratory infections which are typically mild, but some are deadly such as SARS like in 2003. So far the number of deaths from the Coronavirus is 106+ with an additional 4,500+ infected. Over 50 Million people have been quarantined, however 5M already left the city of Wuhan where the outbreak started.
