Anna Lee performs Concerto No. 1 in G Minor-Opus 26 HD
Anna Lee (이정현) is a hard working, 13 year old violinist. She is very talented and thrives to do her best. • Anna Lee won 1st prize in her age group (11-14) in the Viotti Valsesia International Music Competition in Italy in 2013 • She performed in the winners concert of this competition. • Anna earned 2nd prize in her category in the Padova International Music competition held in Italy, 2013. • Anna also won second prize in the Seoul National Music competition held in South korea for woodwinds, strings and voice, 2013. • She was the winner of the Rising Stars Concerto Competition in 2013, where she performed solo with the BOP Symphonia in 2013. • She has performed in recitals all over New Zealand and Korea. • Anna received a scholarship from the Pettman National Music Academy in 2012. • Anna has also won 1st prize a numerous amount of times in the TPACS competition. • She was invited to contribute in masterclasses and concerts in the Akaroa Music Festival in 2012 and 2013. • Anna has had masterclasses with Charles Castleman (Professor of the Eastman school of Music) Leo Philips (UK) and Donald Armstrong (NZSO concertmaster) and was highly regarded by these teachers. • She performed with Dame Malvina Major at the age of 8 years old. • She performed with Ray Chan (Pianist) in 2013. • Anna got the highest mark in the Trinity exams for grades 6-8 in 2011 and 2012. • She also played in the Bay of Plenty Symphonia from the age of 10.
