Levels that have that unexpected twist from peaceful to horrifying are some of my favorites, especially when the quality is as high as this, the amount of detail and style to be found in Desperation is top-tier, the variety and smoothness of the animations, the mesmerizing and jarring effects, the dark spaces contrasting with the flashing lights, loud sounds and visuals, they fit the title and theme of the level perfectly, they make you feel the frightening ambience every second. I feel a level is especially powerful and has a larger impact when it relates heavily to the creator, how they live or what they feel, good or bad, and it lets you know for sure just how much effort went into creating and perfecting it, and it gives insight to the intricacies of the design and and the images displayed.
