The character likes to sing and blend her voice with others in harmony. After seeing her family members face racial discrimination and experiencing it for herself, Melody decides to add her voice to those who are speaking up against inequality. Kids can find out more about Melody and read her whole story with the BeForever Melody doll, which comes with a paperback book by Denise Lewis Patrick called “No Ordinary Sound”. Additional books will also be available and sold separately. Just like the character as seen in the cover image of the book, the 18-inch Melody doll has dark brown eyes and black hair. She wears a bright blue-and-green houndstooth A-line dress with a blue cowl collar, a blue bow on the chest, and blue bows on the side pleats. Plus, Melody wears a blue ribbon headband in her hair and shiny blue patent shoes with white socks on her feet. The doll also has white underwear.
