I like to learn and explore different genres and post vids of them! More importantly, I’m here to show and tell you to FOLLOW YOUR JOY! ♀️My WHY’s ♀️ -Dedication to your art -Learn your Craft -Be consistent -Follow your joy ❤️❤️ -Be patient ⏰ -Share your gifts online My story When I started college in 2013 to get my public health degree, I was on my own in terms of learning music. I couldn’t read music, my playing was mediocre. I went to the practice rooms, and played the only two songs I knew over and over. While I was playing I had an image, I saw myself at a grand piano, and there was an intense feeling that this is what I’m going to be doing for my profession. I was confused because I was not good at all! But every day I was drawn to the practice rooms in the basement. After a long day of classes and student clubs I would play until 11pm often losing track of time. If I had an exam the next day I simply had to go play piano for hours. Day by day I developed my sightreading skills so I could play songs faster and easier! I looked up on many laptop songs I liked, musicals, movie soundtracks, classical music, Jazz, Baroque music, any music I could find. My sightreading developed so much I could read some of my favorite piano concertos. All this time I didn’t have a teacher for four years... then an opportunity came up and I decided to apply to a University’s music program, my father works there so I would get free tuition to study what I loved to do. I wanted to seize this opportunity, I really wanted a proper education in music. So I worked on the audition pieces without guidance, no teacher. I practiced my butt off (you can see the videos on my channel, they’re one of the first vids on here)! And miraculously I got in! I couldn’t believe it. So now I’m sharing some of the pieces I was playing in the practice rooms with you all!
