I had to really prepare before. Not only the material, but emotionally, physically and technically (which is huge). Teaching solo dance online is really energy demanding and attention demanding, well, at least for me. You are alone in the room, but you know that there are 100 - 600 people watching you in their homes and they took that time of their lives to spend with you. There is no moment to switch off mentally and emotionally, you as a teacher are ON, on all the time, every moment. I love it. Though after I am like a star fish in a hibernation mode Last weekend myself and David, my husband, the tech maestro, we ran 4 classes in each ca. 400 - 600 people. I was so delighted to see people joining from Canada, Australia, California, Russia, all over Europe, New Zealand, Mexico! Bravo to all of you, guys, to join and (remember different time zones) to either get up early (like 7am) or take the class super late (like at 1am). What can I say? Endless gratitude, my friends! Another amazing thing that happened, was the after party. It was not planned, but it happened. When people stayed online with video on for another 20 min after the class, just watching, listening, some improvising as me, some even found each other on zoom and starting calling each other hehe! lovely! Well I was just so warmed up and high from the class, I kept on dancing. There you go.
