In 2018 the Jack Daniel`s Distillery introduced a Bottled in Bond duty free / travel exclusive Whiskey. The bottled in bond act passed the united states senate in 1897. The intention was producing higher quality spirits which are easy to be identified by the customer. To become a Bottled in Bond Whiskey the following requirements have to be fulfilled: - Distilled by only one Master Distiller - Only grain from one single growing season - at least 4 years of maturing in a government supervised barrelhouse - Whiskey Distilled and Bottled only within the United States - bottled at 100 Proof (50% Alc.) - the product has to show where it was distilled and bottled This is not a limited release, those are bottled regularly.
