Compass Box Peat Monster Blended Malt Scotch Nose: Immediate floral notes-daisy’s perhaps, very mild smoke that is barely poking out through the initial rush of salted vanilla cream pastries. White chocolate and sour pear Really good bourbon casks. Definitely not as much peat as I would have thought…really good nonetheless. Some kind of meat grease. Bacon or sausage. Apple sauce with cinnamon, ginger, spinach leaves, pears in sugary syrup from a tin can, and a little icing sugar Palate: Vanilla bean ice cream, Apple juice, burnt oak, tons of cinnamon and bonfire ash.
