On her new album, The Orange Glow, Globelamp’s Elizabeth Le Fey sings of loss, longing, survival and the enchantments of nature. With a sound that’s often described as psychedelic, witchy folk, she draws influence from the supernatural, fairy tales, nursery rhymes, folk music and punk. So it seemed fitting that as soon as we walked into Nomadic Trading Company, we were immediately introduced to the store’s dog, Moon. Located in Durham, NC, Nomadic Trading specializes in importing handmade rugs, unique furniture, textiles and other repurposed, restored or vintage home decor pieces. Their storeroom was the perfect backdrop for Globelamp’s session, highlighting the uniqueness of her set.
