Artist Bio Whiskey Tango Revue is a hard swinging band specializing in outlaw country, blues, and rock n‟ roll. They keep every crowd on their feet and dancing with an arsenal of catchy tunes, immaculate vocal harmonies, pedal steel guitar, and jazzed-up horn arrangements. They are on a mission to rescue real country music from the grasp of CMT‟s pop-video hell. Whiskey Tango Revue, fondly referred to as "South Carolina‟s least feared Country Band," formed in the spring of 2009 when the seasoned local rhythm section, Steve Sancho and Chris Paget , teamed up with pedal steel guitar player Rhodes Bailey to jam on some old school honky-tonk songs. What began as a few gigs eventually became a way of life, fueled by the boys‟ passion for the outlaw country sounds of the 60‟s and 70‟s. With the additions of singer-songwriter Spencer Collins, vocalist Susan Hills Nelson and saxophone and harmonica player Sid Tyner in 2010, Whiskey Tango Revue expanded its sound to include blues, soul, and hard-driving southern rock. From the barrooms and private parties of South Carolina, to chili festivals and charity events, and even hipster bars in Brooklyn, New York, Whiskey Tango Revue entertains all varieties of crowds without ever missing a beat. If you are looking for the best of what makes southern music great or just a soundtrack to a redneck brawl, Whiskey Tango Revue will not leave you disappointed.
