More clashes in Paris amid WC celebrations
(15 Jul 2018) Celebrations turned violent in Paris on Sunday night as some fans threw flares at police, after France took home its second World Cup title. Scenes filmed from the balcony of the Publicis Group building showed people running away and trying to hide from smoke and flares. Police was seen lining up their vehicles along the Champs-Elysees and advancing towards troublemakers. Throughout the evening, hundreds of police in riot gear were discretely lined up on side streets to monitor revelers. Typically, celebrations in France end up with some broken shop windows and other destruction.
