Fixer Guide | Playstyle & Items - Battle Bay HD

Beginner Fixer Guide covering playstyle and item builds. Win more games with the right items and follow these tips to climb the ladder. More info: The Fixer is a fantastic ship and one of the best to climb up the leaderboard. One thing is for sure, playing Fixer isn’t easy. You need to have a constant awareness for where your teammates are on the map and who needs your support the most. As the primary support class in Battle Bay, you won’t be carrying the team by pulling out any 1v5 plays, but you will be able to work with your team to win the game. The Fixer item build I have gone over in this video is what I believe to be optimal based on input from the community, high level players and personal experience. With that said, you should feel free to mix things up and try new builds if what I suggest isn’t working for you. A benefit of playing the Fixer that I haven’t mentioned in the video is that there are currently only three green items, making it much easier to get the right duplicate item you need to evolve the items to a higher tier. One of the green items that I decided not to spend too much time talking about in the video is duct tape. It has a stronger heal than repair pulse but it doesn’t heal your teammates. What I think is the problem with duct tape right now is that an item made just to keep yourself alive is not worth giving up an item that can heal your team. Even if you stay alive longer, you end up giving up a lot of potential health for your team. Also, with only 1 weapon slot until MK6, there isn’t much viability in a “battle fixer” playstyle. I don’t believe a simple stat boost will help this item be better as it will likely require a change in the meta to work. In the video, I talk about builds from MK1 to MK4 but there is one comment that I would like to make about MK5 fixer builds. I see some MK5 fixers using two repair pulses instead of a repair pulse and 2 repair box launchers. In my opinion, this is a huge mistake as repair boxes let your teammates heal without having to come back to you. When your teammate is low on health, they may not be able to return to you without getting shot down because you are usually stuck in the middle of a heated battle with this kind of build. I hope this video was helpful to any Fixers players or players wanting to give the Fixer ship a try. Let me know if you have any further questions in the comments below!
