A beautiful song written by the American folk musician Bob Coltman from his 1973 album of the same name "lonesome" robin" it took me 3 weeks to learn this song ! ... apparently the fantastic Luka Bloom learnt it in a day after hearing Guy Carawan sing it at a music session in doolin Co. Clare the same year.....many people have recorded it since but it was luka blooms heartfelt rendition that took the song to a different level ......
