Honi Deaton "Promise to a Soldier" HD

My Grandfather, PFC Vendil Dalton Eoff, US Army, Company C, 363rd Infantry, 96 Division, fought in WWII for our country. Although his service was short, it provided to be life altering for generations to come. He, along with all but three of his entire platoon were killed in action while fighting on the island of Okinawa on May 16, 1945. He left my grandmother to be an eighteen year old widow, and their six month old daughter that he had only seen in pictures. The song, "Promise to a Soldier", is a song that I wrote. It is very special to me as it tells the story of my mother and grandmother, and it describes the trials and hardships that war causes the families and loved ones of our fallen soldiers. I am so thankful for my grandfather and all of our veterans for the sacrifices that they made and are still making to ensure our freedom. This song, "Promise to a Soldier", is a promise to always remember the troops that have fought for our country!
