The laser makes a strange Star Trek effect triangular pattern in the balloon before it explodes. The beam of the green laser pointer is visible inside of the balloon but not so much outside. I made my laser video easy to find again at the following address: http://d.ro/laserpop/ . I recorded this video with my iPhone 3GS in Amsterdam on January 18, 2010. I am speaking on it. The laser strength is 150 mW and the balloon is fairly translucent which is why it takes as long as it does to make the balloon burst.
