Middle Eastern Scales Part 1

MUSC 280 Lesson on Middle Eastern Scales. In the Lesson i talk about the misconception that the Harmonic Minor Scale is middle eastern, and talk about where the confusion came from. Middle eastern scales usually have a Minor second followed by a Major third, which one of the Modes from harmonic Minor Has... The phrygian Dominant scale. I play regular phrygian, then switch to Phrygian dominant (a.k.a Hijaz) and then to the cool sounding Persian Scale.
