Scratch Day 2014 FHS NZ
On Saturday 17th May 2014 Forrest Hill School students hosted Scratch Day at our IT Centre. We had three student scratch ambassadors leading our day and three teams of helpers. Team 1 - Scratch Explorers worked with people who were new to scratch and wanted to try scratch for the first time. We had a booklet they could work through. Remixing and experimenting with code was encouraged. Team 2 - Theme Developers worked on a particular projects for the whole session inviting others to join in and contribute. We had four themes; Eco Festival, 20000 Leagues Under the Sea, Scratch Day Party and Music Video Director. Team 3 - WeDo Demonstrators worked on three projects and encouraged others to try their projects. The projects were; Feeding a Hungry Aligator, Spinner blade battles and Lego planes flying through cyber space. We had an awesome time....
