Get Back On Those Monkey Bars! (WHW #5) HD

The first try, he didn’t do so hot. He fell down and he got a little frustrated. I told him, you didn’t do it the first time but you have to keep trying. This made me think of all the times I tried something that didn’t work out. Sometimes, I didn’t just fail, I failed miserably. In those life lessons, when you fail it’s all about getting back up right? Just like the saying if you fall off the bike, you get back on and keep trying. When I first started cold calling….I called all day, and got NO ONE. At the end of the day I felt awful. I was full of self-doubt and frustration. I went home and laid in my bed...like straight to my bed still fully dressed, shoes and all. Because I was just so defeated. I believe we are all allowed to have those moments in our life. We can feel bad, feel defeated for a few minutes. But then we have to get back up and try again. You will never find your potential if you give up after the first try. In my case, the next day I went back to work and started calling again. I got more rejections, more No’s, but I kept trying until I got that first Yes. Then I kept going and got better at it. What are your ‘monkey bars’? What are the things that you have failed at, but didn’t give up, and tried again...and again...and again. The process isn’t any fun. It can be miserable.
