Foreskin facials, anxiety stickers and more WTF things!!! RIDICULIST Episode 3 HD
In this episode of Abbey’s Kitchen, Abbey is sharing another hilarious addition of The Ridiculist. Abbey has scoured the internet and compiled all of your submissions to help you find the most ridiculous health products on the market. This is Abbey’s real time, unfiltered, uncensored reaction to help you cut through the bullshit online. (0:30) First on the list is Anti-Anxiety Stickers. They claim to liberate guilt and fear and transform it into forgiveness. They also cost sixty bucks a pack. The website goes on to explain that these stickers are based on a chakra system. There are merits to following a chakra system, but whether these stickers can replace your ativan is another story. Abbey recommends skipping the stickers and instead take a yoga class. (1:45) Next up is HerDiet Slim Mist. Forget about eating well, exercise and genetics, apparently the secret is some liquid you discretely spray under your tongue. Based on systematic review, garcinia has been shown to maybe induce weight loss, however the results are short term, small and not clinically significant. As for Hoodia, the research suggests that it did not help with weight loss and actually resulted in some undesirable side effects. (2:58) Next up, is the weirdest new fitness trend: crawling. It’s apparently the new planking, and research has found that firefighters that crawl is beneficial to their training. Abbey can’t get behind a trend where their workshop costs $300… to crawl. Apparently when we crawl we reset our body and undo physical damage. Abbey calls bullshit. Crawling is good for your core strength but it’s not going to turn back time pretending you’re a toddler. (4:08) Next up, is the Bytox Hangover Patch. Apparently if you apply this patch before you go to the bar, it’s been shown to help restore your body and rid yourself of a hangover. The skin patch is packed with vitamins and minerals, but research has found none of these will help with a hangover. The reality is no food or sticker will help. The only things that might help is sleep, hydration and maybe a time machine to help erase those last two tequila shots. Save the money and use it to uber home maybe one or two shots early. (5:20) Last but not least is the new Foreskin Facial. Abbey has a lot of questions. Apparently people are marketing a serum made from the liquidized foreskin of South Korean babies. The treatment costs $870 with a waiting list thanks to celebrities like Sandra Bullock, Kate Beckinsale and Cate Blanchette. Apparently the foreskin helps generate collagen which makes your skin glow. This is a good example of white celebrity driven privilege taken to a disturbing level and Abbey is taking a hard pass on this one. That is it for this video!
