Unusual Sambar Stag HD

I took my mate Scott on his first Backpack hunt into one of my spots a few weeks ago and he got this unusual stag. The good side went 31.5 inches. While not a classic trophy the stag was not any less clever for having one dodgy antler and had avoided hunters until Scott beat him. Scott hunted the stag well from a wallow and eventually found the deer hiding amongst trees offering only a small amount of neck for a target. Scott dropped him cleanly with a 9.3x62 286grn to the neck from about 50m. So an interesting head and a great trophy to remember a successful hunt.
