Created as a parody of aggressive ultra-violent characters like Wolverine and Punisher, the red-eyed Czarnian reached enormous heights of popularity in the early nineties with the groundbreaking miniseries Lobo: The Last Czarnian, by Giffen, Alan Grant and artist Simon Bisley.
