This is a video documentary of the FC Warriors futball club of Southern Nevada. For coaches who are selecting team captains, this is an excellent video to help you how NOT to select a team captain. If teammates, and parents feel your selection is not based upon talent or leadership skills, or if the perception is that the kid is weak,slow, untalented, and who has to be GIVEN everything instead of it being EARNED then team dissent will set in. Set rules for your team captain. If he constantly misses practice then demote him. If he is late for tournament games, or berates other players then demote him. DO NOT PROMOTE A KID AS TEAM CAPTAIN ONLY BECAUSE OF HAIR-COLOR, EYE-COLOR, OR OTHER FEATURES THAT ARE IMMATERIAL TO THEIR PLAY ON THE FIELD. Study this video before selecting your next team captain.
