Music Visual Effects - After Effects Tutorial HD

In this tutorial, I explain how to extract the waveform of a song in order to apply visual effects (or "twitches") to the beats of the music, as seen in our experimental music video "The Beast Inside". I use the plugin Twitch from Videocopilot but also show a way to accomplish this effect without any plugins. I work with the CS5 version of after effects, however, this technique is applicable to older versions as well. Twitch works for version 7 and higher.
